Actual storage capacity may be slightly less than the labeled capacity due to manufacturer algorithms. Operating systems may calculate capacity differently. Disc capacities may vary (e.g. 700MB=700MB; 4.7GB=4.38GB). Labeled recording speeds are theoretical. Factors affecting recording speed include laser head aging, computer settings, compatibility, and support for high speeds. It is recommended not to record at the maximum speed for optimal quality and success rate.
