This pot does not have a coating; however, the included instruction manual mentions coating standards because it is a universal manual used for both coated and non-coated cookware.

Usage:

- Primarily designed for boiling and stewing; frying and stir-frying are not recommended.

- Without a chemical non-stick coating, the pot does not provide inherent non-stick performance.

- Whether food sticks depends largely on cooking technique, such as stirring frequently when ingredients settle and adjusting heat properly to avoid burning.

Discoloration:

- Yellowing on the upper wall of the pot after cooking is normal.

- Using an induction cooker will prevent yellowing or blackening.

- When using a gas stove, use medium to low heat and avoid heating beyond the bottom surface to reduce discoloration and burning.

- Oxidation discoloration (yellowing, blackening, or rainbow colors) from dry heating or prolonged cooking is normal and does not affect usability.
