Store in a ventilated, cool place to eliminate any residual leather processing odors.
Apply soap or candle wax on friction areas to reduce rubbing.
Use white vinegar to soften leather in friction areas.
Insert damp paper wrapped in tissue inside tight areas and seal in plastic bag overnight.
Use adhesive bandages on friction points to prevent blisters.
