1. Check the megohmmeter before use to ensure it is working properly.

2. Rotate the handle clockwise to increase speed gradually to 120 revolutions per minute.

3. Perform insulation testing by connecting the test leads to the "Line" and "Ground" terminals.

4. Conduct ground testing by connecting the test end and a good ground wire to the "Line" and "Ground" terminals.

5. Use the protective ring when measuring high resistance to eliminate reading errors caused by leakage.
